Mom doing what she loved: playing the piano

From Rafael Cortés, her long-time piano teacher:

I am so sorry and sad to hear the news, but relieved at the same time. She died the day after my birthday...a bitter sweet moment for me... It is good to hear she died peacefully.  I will always have her close to my heart. I loved working with her at the piano; she was a very talented lady. She was also so nice to me always.  I will never forget the time she spent with me editing my book...I can still see and hear her talking to me, always kind and careful not to offend me when she had suggestions and corrections about my not so great grammar construct...and at the end she let me get away with much!
